The cold breeze rubbed against his skin, stinging it. Dew glistened on the grass. The normal morning sounds of nature went on, ignorant of the intruder.

He lay with his back on the grass, his head leaning against a tree, his head facing the sky at an angle, with the hill at a slow decline towards the tree. His neck would be slightly sore when he woke up, but otherwise, he was completely normal. His brown hair blended with the tree, while his eyelids covered his hazel eyes. The black shirt, frayed jeans, and slightly muddied black boots all seemed to make the man seem completely normal. However, the fact that he was there at all was not.

He woke up. It was a slow and complex sequence of events, with his mind beginning first before he lifted his head and opened his eyes groggily. It would be a full thirty seconds before he noticed something was wrong about this morning. For this morning, he hadn't woken up in his bed at his home. He had woken up in the middle of a forest on a mountainside.

Unfortunately, this man was not a morning person, so it took a while for him to try to understand anything, at all. He stood up, nearly falling face-first into the ground. Looking around with weary eyes and still half asleep, the man shouted out, "Hello?" To him, his voice even seemed to echo in the seeming emptiness of the place.
